ADM3120BX low cost Netzwerksprozessor

The ADM3120BX is a high performance, highly integrated, and highly flexible low cost System on Chip (SoC). Internally, the chip consists of a high performance embedded MIPS CPU with 175MHz (227 MIPS) with embedded Memory Management Unit (MMU) and 8 Kbyte I-cache and D-cache and an embedded switch engine. Furthermore it has one MII interface, five IEEE 802.3 fast Ethernet MAC with embedded 10/100Mbit/s PHY, which support auto-MDIX (auto crossover) and flexible WAN port selection. The SoC integrates a Multi Port Memory Controller (MPMC) for dynamic memory (SDRAM) and asynchronous static memory (NOR Flash, SRAM, ROM) support.

In addition the chip provides two UART interfaces and 8 GPIOs and is working from two power supplies, 3.3V for the I/Os and 1.8V for the core. The ADM 3120BX comes in a PG-LFBGA-225 environmentally friendly 'green' package. Typical applications for the Network Processor are low cost Wired Routers, ATA (Analog Telephone Adapter) and VoIP DECT Base Station among others.
