Renesas expands marketshare with SRAMs

Renesas Technology Europe is a reliable SRAM supplier. The current market share of 14% worldwide is expected to increase to 20% by 2009.

“We offer our customers a wide range of products in each of the low, middle and high-density sectors”, explains Birgit Pingel, Product Manager at Renesas.

The worldwide demand for SRAMs remains strong and Renesas is prepared for the focused growth – production capacity has already been expanded and outsourced. “Our customers value our high standard of quality and the significant fact that we have our own factories at our disposal. We are independent and profit from our knowledge from other product fields.” The Advanced-Version SRAM is one example; increased performance with smaller cell sizes that are robust and resistant against random disturbing factors is a clear advantage. This 0.15 ěm technology is already available in 4M 3 V, 16M, 32M MCP and will soon be offered in 64M MCP.
